Recently, I thought it would be fun to check out Bed Bath & Beyond as I hadn’t been in a while and I didn’t have the kid with me and the husband was at home watching the kid, so I had some free me time. Uninterrupted me time. That is rare and I wanted to use that time for something fun…and I now find shopping alone to be very enjoyable almost therapeutic. No purchase necessary. No one tugging at me or telling me to hurry up or all those other annoying distractions that can make what you think to be an enjoyable shopping trip to be a regrettable shopping experience. I’m sure you get the idea.
Well, I had not been to this particular Bed Bath & Beyond location, so when I went inside I wasn’t expecting it to be any different than any other BBB store (this is where I am going to abbreviate), so I walked in and took a stroll along the shopping path. From shower items to bedding and beyond I found myself pleasantly surprised to loop around to the other side of the front of the store and lo and behold there was a beauty department in the store. It was just like having a CVS or Walgreens beauty department dropped into a BBB store. Although it was slightly different.
The aisles were loaded. Absolutely loaded. More brands than a typical drug store. The shelves were taller than me (I’m 5’9″) with product still at the highest point beyond my reach. I was in Beauty Mecca. How have I not known about this store before? There were brands I recognized as well as brands that are hard to find and products I was not yet aware of. Awesome.
Some of the products that caught my eye is a hair perfume from Frederic Fekkai. I want it. I noticed Shea Moisture products…my favorite body wash was there along with loads of other products from the brand. Of course, there were the traditional mass brands from Almay, L’Oreal, Revlon, Maybelline and even NYX. My favorite cleansing conditioner was there…it was even cheaper than CVS, just $3.99. There was an aisle of hair accessories as well as an aisle of blow dryers and curling irons galore, an aisle with makeup applicators…even an aisle of toiletries too. How did I not know this place existed? Well, now I know and now you know too!
Next time you have some me time and you want to take a shopping trip, may I suggest your nearest Bed Bath & Beyond store that has an extended beauty department. You will not only be pleasantly surprised but I bet you find a beauty discovery you’ll want to share.
