Oscar Beauty Trends

Oscar Award

I have to admit that I am not a super fan of the Oscars. It’s not that I dislike the Oscars, I’m just not always into them. However, when I do watch the Oscars I rarely watch for Best whatever and more into the fashion and beauty trends…and to be honest, when is this Mom going to a red carpet event or black tie affair? Unless I’m up for some nomination or Richard Gere decides to arrive at my doorstep in a limo, the answer to that is…NEVER.  So really, it’s all about the hair and makeup in my book.

Last night’s Oscars did not disappoint. The gorgeous ladies seemed to nail every beauty trend from bold lips or bold brows to metallic eyes and my all time favorite, a classic smokey eye.

Some of my favorite looks included the bold matte lip as worn by Emma Stone or Margot Robbie. Of course, the beautiful Lupita Nyongo‘s eyes sparkled with her metallic lids. There was also the fresh faced look worn by the ever classic Cate Blanchett or Rosamund Pike. And my all time ever favorite beauty trend, the subtle smokey eye as seen on Sienna Miller or Anna Kendrick.

This FLESH beauty felt inspired after watching all the red carpet shows and Oscars that I am now inspired to recreate these looks on myself. So, this week, each day I will rock an Oscar inspired beauty look and post on Instagram. I hope you enjoy the looks as much as I will have recreating them. I invite you to do the same and tag #Oscarbeautyinspired with your photo!
