The Power & Speed of Monochrome…

“Selfied” in my car on my way to work while waiting for the garage door to close.  Safety first!

So, I was getting ready for work today (store visit for W3LL PEOPLE Cosmetics) and trying to figure out something new to do for my face, yet was really pressed for time.  When getting trained for W3LL PEOPLE, I remember the owner of the company saying that her cream color sticks could be used as an eye, cheek AND lip color.  Alrighty then, I decided to go all out!  I took out the bright pink one and went to town!

Now even though I live in sunny San Diego, most of the country is dealing with the evil throes of winter and are desperate for even the slightest hint of spring, so I hope this looks helps.

I put my foundation on first, then did my brows and curled my lashes.  Then I used my fingers to put on the cream color stick on my eyes, my cheeks and then rubbed it into my lips as a stain.  I topped my cheeks off with a little bronzer and my eyes with a hint of black eye liner and mascara.  The lips I left the matte texture from the stick.

All in all, I liked it!  The pink on my eye lids really made my eyes shine blue and the bright pink on my cheeks really brightened up my complexion.  I did end up putting a nude blush lip gloss on later in the day, but I really, really enjoyed this look.  It was super quick and turned out super chic.  It will most definitely go into my repetoire, specifically on those days when I’m pressed for time.

For this particular look, I used the W3LL PEOPLE Universalist Stick in #7-Creamy Peony (yes I work for the company, but no I did not get any perks for writing about it, I even bought the product myself), but you could use any cream blush or stick to achieve a similar look.  I really want to try it with a goldish/shimmery bronze!

What’s your favorite monochromatic look?
